Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham
About
The Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, founded in 1922 after 400 years of persecution, is a peaceful pilgrimage destination in the picturesque Norfolk village of Little Walsingham. Visitors are welcomed into the richly decorated Shrine Church, home to a modern replica of the Holy House where the statue of Our Lady is enshrined. The Shrine offers daily Masses, prayer services and a host of visiting options ranging from day‐visits to extended pilgrimages, as well as a welcoming visitor centre that provides historical displays, interactive touch‑screen kiosks and a short film telling the story of the Shrine’s restoration. Families, history enthusiasts and spiritual seekers alike will find the shrine’s warm community, beautiful gardens and the sense of continuity with the ancient miracles of Nazareth inspiring and moving.
