Poised gracefully amid the fertile lands of the Lagan Valley in East Donegal, near the banks of the River Foyle, approximately 8kms from the historical city of Derry / Londonderry stands Monreagh Ulster Scots / Scots Irish Heritage & Education Centre. In the tranquil settings of a beautifully restored 19th century manse, visitors are taken on a journey through the mists of time, exploring the rich heritage of East Donegal Monreagh Heritage Centre contains a wealth of information from the Plantation of Ulster to the present day. Visitors will appreciate the picturesque, unspoiled landscape of the Lowlands of Donegal. The Centre contains four themed exhibition rooms, each dedicated to a particular period of history. The Living History Garden contains exhibits that remind us of the architecture and agricultural industries of the past.
