The clan chief’s family name is Jardine of Applegirth ~ taking the middle ages spelling. The House is built on where once stood the original 12th century Motte and Bailey. Formerly the Manse (Rectory in Scottish) to Applegarth Church, Applegarth House and Cottages are just a short drive from Lockerbie and Junction 17 on the M74.
