A historic church with connections to Robert Burns and a thousand years of Scottish history. The church is renowned for this, it’s outstanding stain glass windows, Henry Willis organ and graveyard that is home to Burns’ Mausoleum and the headstones of thousands of other dreamless sleepers from every strata of society and over many centuries. The Sunday Service is open to all at 11.15 am and the church has summer opening hours, check the website for details. Take in the church and graveyard along with Burns’ House, The Theatre Royal and The Globe for a full Burns experience. You will not be disappointed, and most likely amazed by the history of Dumfries.
