About

Newburgh Handloom Weavers are specialist producers of high quality, handwoven bespoke tweed and cloth and are based in Newburgh, situated by the River Tay, in the North-East of Fife in Scotland. Their cloth is entirely hand-woven on traditional wooden handlooms which were built by Thomas Kennedy of Galashiels, a loom maker established in 1870. Together, Jimmy and Erika produce a wide range of hand-woven, traditional style tweed and blankets, including bespoke tweeds and cloth designed and made to order for both individual commercial clients. As well as selling a range of handwoven tweed and blankets from their Weaving Shed, Jimmy and Erika also offer one-to-one weaving classes and weaving demonstrations, both of which can be booked on their website. For more information, do get in touch by phone or email. Visits outside of normal hours can be arranged. Newburgh Handloom Weavers are proud to be keeping the tradition and skill of handloom weaving alive in Scotland.
