Located in a lovely grade two listed barn alongside the beautiful green in the village of East Dean, on the South Downs Way, the Hikers Rest is the perfect stop off for coffee, cake, cream teas, brunch or a light lunch. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, both on the green and in a private courtyard, we open all year round providing a warm welcome for the local community, walkers and visitors to Beachy Head and Burling Gap. There is plenty of free parking only meters away and the cafe is fully accessible with a large indoor space helping us to meet social distancing measures. When unable to open inside, we will be offering a take out service between 10:00 and 14:00 every day.
