Battle Of Prestonpans Jacobite Museum
About
The Battle of Prestonpans Jacobite Museum, housed in the Town Hall building which dates to 1896. A new museum and heritage space dedicated to the famous battle of 1745, with supporting temporary exhibitions, including panels from the Prestonpans Tapestry. There is also a museum shop offering books and souvenirs, and a programme of events and activities for all ages. Opens weekends. Weekday opening for groups and schools, by arrangement. We are a family-friendly site, with a "kid's camp" area and regular children's craft activities. The museum is accessible, with ramped access to the main hall and a platform lift to the washrooms and Jubilee Room gallery. We offer group visits/tours and education sessions. Entry is free but donations are welcome, as we are a small independent charity. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
