Now part of Edinburgh's award winning ethical cafe chain Coffee Saints, bright spacious colourful decor, situated at the foot of Candlemaker Row, this cafe forms part of the Grassmarket Community Project, a social enterprise providing support and training for many of Edinburgh's most vulnerable adults. A surprising oasis of calm in an otherwise very busy part of the city, the double-height space, beautiful sofas, pavilion space, simple bright furnishings all lit by a large skylight give it an open and airy feel in one area and a step away into another world in the pavilion. We serve straight forward breakfast, brunches and lunches, wraps, filled rolls, sandwiches and soups, a few main dishes, and a selection of tray bakes to complement the fair-trade hot and cold drinks on offer. All profits are returned to the Project, so eating here doesn't just fill you up, it makes you feel good as well.
