A free museum exploring the science and humanity of medicine Our temporary exhibition programme covers topics from mental health to alchemy, animals, addiction and the history of skin. You can also explore our online exhibitions, recorded talks, podcasts and stories on our website. We are part of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, which was established in 1681 to help qualified doctors pursue their careers in medicine through examinations, education and training.
