The Museum represents the history of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys). Housed inside the 1790's constructed New Barracks within Edinburgh Castle, the museum tells the story of the history and traditions of the SCOTS DG including its three antecedent regiments dating back over 300 years. The antecedent regiments of the SCOTS DG are the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales's Own), the 6th Dragoon Guards (The Carabiniers), the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards), The Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons), and the 25th Dragoons.
