An area of outstanding natural beauty it has much to offer including walking, cycling, wild swimming, rock climbing and horse riding. It is also an excellent base for exploring Devon. Neighbourhood overview Town Barton sits in the heart of the old village next to the green, cricket pitch, and church. Getting around Excellent, walking, cycling, and horse riding directly from the house. Bowerman's Nose is one mile. Haytor is three miles. Excellent local pubs include the Ring of Bells at North Bovey The Rugglestone at Widecombe The Cleave at Lustleigh Beaches are one hour Exeter and Plymouth airports are one hour away Other things to note Town Barton is a Victorian farmstead built by Lord Hamberdon's estate in 1833. Today the farm is run as a smallholding with sheep, pigs, chicken, ducks, and horses. Two small businesses work out of the barns & and the annex is a permanent let.
