Our passion for food is everything you'd expect in a hotel owned by a couple of chefs. With an emphasis on modern European food, our kitchen brigade work hard to source the finest fresh ingredients. The varied landscape of Devon produces some of the finest and freshest produce available in the country. We take great care to source the finest meats and fish. As far as we can we use Devon produce which is from farms which operate best practices, and traditional methods (no intensive farming). Our game is all from Devon. Fish and shellfish come from Brixham landed day boats and trawlers, some fish from the bay itself, other deeper sea fish from returning trawlers. We also source local ales, ciders and wines to complement our dishes, including Bays Brewery in Torbay, Sharpham Vineyard in Totnes (which also supplies lovely cheeses) and Luscombe’s soft drinks from Buckfastleigh.
