About

Would you like to see the current Shannon all-weather lifeboat stationed at Falmouth? Over the Easter Holidays we are offering our ever-popular Open Days at Falmouth Lifeboat Station. Come and see the boats, explore the station and see the kit worn by the crews. Learn about how they operate when called out for a rescue. Our tours are free, and our helpful guides will endeavour to answer any questions you may have about the Falmouth Lifeboats. Open Days: Tuesday - Friday 8th-11th April Tuesday - Friday 15th-18th April We are open for visits between 10.30am and 3.45pm (last tour starting at 3.00pm). We are located approx. 10 minutes walk from the Maritime Museum on Tinners Walk, TR11 3XZ. For safety reasons, it may not be possible to go onto the pontoon where the all-weather lifeboat is moored. Also, we cannot guarantee that it will be possible to go onto the Shannon, as the new arrangements for boarding are still being finalised. We look forward to welcoming you.
