Named after William de Peverell, this tower has been witness to many key events that have shaped England's History. This medieval fortress was built by Henry II and its Great Tower served as a royal palace for the Plantagenet kings. Climb the winding stairway to discover the beautifully converted holiday accommodation where many of the original features have been retained including some graffiti scrawled by a former occupant thought by many to be a 16th century prisoner.
