About

The Glencoe Visitor Centre, managed by the National Trust for Scotland, opened its doors in 2002 as a modern gateway to one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. Located in the village of Glencoe in the Highlands, the centre offers a welcoming café, a shop selling local products and a comprehensive information hub that showcases the area’s rich geological formations, cultural heritage and wildlife. Visitors can explore engaging displays about the historic Glencoe Massacre, the dramatic glens that surround the valley, and the broader Lochaber region. A special highlight is the Turf House, a traditional Scottish building where guests can learn how early Highlanders lived and how these structures were built from local materials. After touring the interactive exhibitions, guests often enjoy a short walk along the woodland trails or a stop at the Highland Coo Café for homemade cakes, hot drinks and light snacks.
