About
Steall Waterfall, also known as An Steall Bàn or Steall Falls, is a dramatic tiered waterfall located in Glen Nevis near Fort William in the Highland region of Scotland. With a single 120‑metre plunge (393 ft), it stands as Scotland’s second‑highest waterfall and is a highlight of the John Muir Trust wilderness trail. Visitors can enjoy a well‑maintained path that winds through the Nevis Gorge, offering panoramic views of the highland landscape and crystal‑clear spray that gives the waterfall its Gaelic name, meaning “The White Spout.” The area attracts hikers, nature lovers, and photographers who seek both the thrill of the climb and the serenity of the surrounding wilderness.
