Newton Flight Academy at Glasgow Science Centre is an immersive experience where you can take the controls of one of our three state-of-the-art full motion flight simulators. At the UK's first Newton Flight Academy, you will experience the thrill of taking off in a light aircraft, spending time in the air touring Glasgow or other location of your choice, and landing the plane with support from our flight instructors. In the cockpit, there's a realistic wrap-around 180-degree view of the landscape generated from real map data. There's full feedback from the controls allowing you to feel every slight adjustment to your flight as the simulator cabin moves. Overall, the Newton Flight Academy flight simulator experience lasts around 40-minutes with 30-minutes of flight time. Opening hours vary. During school holidays, Newton Flight Academy is open weekdays and weekends. Newton Flight Academy at Glasgow Science Centre is most suitable for ages 12+ and not suitable for anyone aged 8 and under. Whether you’ve had any experience of a simulator before or are totally new to piloting you’re sure to have an unforgettable time from check-in to final landing.
