The Blue Lagoon Fish&Chip Shop Chain was founded in the early 1970’s by Italian born entrepreneur Ersilio Varese. His first Blue Lagoon arrived on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, and was an instant hit with the Glasgow public upon opening its door’s. As the business took off the chain expanded throughout Glasgow and West Central Scotland, and today there are 12 Blue Lagoon’s situated in the UK with more on the way. The Fish&Chip Shop chain, still family run by the Varese family, have always ensured that no customer leaves their establishment unimpressed.
