This is a lovely boating experience based on a little private marina only a few miles from Rothesay The only town on the beautiful Island of Bute which is only a short ferry trip across the river Clyde and an hours drive from Glasgow. Please note, this is at a static beeth at marina only . Not a charter to drive. The village of Portbannantyne has a small shop - post office , a lovely local pub and a lovely Biestro - all within a few minutes walk of the Marina. The Island has a wealth of history with a castle located in the centre of the town which boasts a moat. Mount Stuart house which was the seat home of the Stuarts of Bute . Many beautiful beaches and plenty of lovely walks . You would not be disappointed if you’ve never visited the island previously or like many returning doon the watter!
