Noah's Ark Inn
About
The Noah’s Ark sits right on the cricket green in the wonderfully picturesque village of Lurgashall, on the Surrey and Sussex border. It dates back to the 16th century, but has been brought up to date under the ownership of local couple Amy & Henry - with plenty of contemporary touches to the decor and the best of British cuisine. Amy, along with her talented Head Chef, is careful to ensure that the Noah’s sources its ingredients from the very best of local suppliers. This is great for small local businesses, but also ensures that they have the best and freshest seasonal produce for a regularly changing menu and specials board. They are even able to do their own home-smoking, so the menu often features house-smoked meat, fish or cheese. Choose from king prawn, chorizo, and Lurgashall wild garlic linguine with chilli & rocket, or free-range pork belly with Lurgashall apple & sage jelly. There are always perennial favourites such as the homemade burger with Goodwood cheddar As well as the restaurant, The Noah’s Ark Inn is also home to an inviting bar that’s perfect for whiling away the evening, drink in hand. The traditional feel and warm atmosphere provide the perfect setting in which to sample the vast wine menu, including over 20 wines by the glass, or the specially selected local ales. If you want to share your experience with a group, The Noah’s Ark Inn has several choices of dining room and can provide tailored menus to meet the requirements of parties of all sizes and for all occasions.
