Brimham Rocks
About
Brimham Rocks is a dramatic moorland landscape of twisting sandstone formations that have been carved by wind and water over hundreds of millions of years. Situated on Brimham Moor in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the National Trust preserve offers visitors free access to the park, an impressive range of geological, botanical and wildlife sites, and a spectrum of walking, cycling, climbing and family activities. With easy access from Harrogate, a visitor centre that houses a bookshop and kiosk, and a range of walking routes such as the Nidderdale Cycling Loop, the park invites people of all ages to explore its unique rock “towers”, learn about the area’s geological history during guided walks or at the onsite information desk, and enjoy the serene moorland scenery.
