About
Llys-yFran occupies a very special place in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains. The reservoir was opened in 1972 to supply clean water to Pembrokeshire. As well as the dam being a feat of engineering, it also preserved the landscape as a haven for nature and wildlife. The 350 acres of woodland, grassland and lake are perfect for walking, cycling and fishing - and a whole range of activities on land and water.
