Manor House Gardens, Bledlow
About
A “hidden gem”, this private country house garden is within easy reach of the M40 (Jct6), and can be enjoyed at leisure or combined with a visit to other Buckinghamshire attractions such as Waddesdon, West Wycombe, Hughenden or Stowe. It has been the vision and creation of Lord and Lady Carrington – over two generations, guided by Robert Adams and more recently by the plantsman Sean Walter – in a variety of styles and characters matched by adventurous and colourful planting. The garden covers several acres and divides into three contrasting areas: formal compartments along with lawns and kitchen garden around the house, the less formal Sculpture Garden, and the detached Lyde water garden. NB: The Manor House Garden is currently open only by prior appointment. Minimum group size applies.
