A former workhouse of a Benedictine Monastery dating back to the 11th Century, YHA Leominster is now a well-equipped 30 bed/10 room hostel with self catering facilities. You can hire the whole hostel - great for family and friends gatherings, cycling and walking groups (or even a knitting group). Come and stay to embrace the history of the area. Leominster is situated in the Marches, the disputed borderlands between Wales and England, fought over for centuries. In the heart of the Black and White Villages, whose style dates back to Tudor times. The walking and cycling in the area is excellent and there are several National Trust properties nearby, along with museums, visitor centres and beautiful gardens.
