About
A café, takeaway and small events space overlooking the Tyne Valley Railway and close to the railway station. Serving freshly made food, light bites, delicious scones and cakes and a range of hot and cold drinks. We also sell a range of railway themed gifts and cards The Water Tower was built in 1861 to store water for the steam trains operating along railway between Newcastle and Carlisle. No longer used for that purpose, it was renovated and refurbished during 2024 to create a café. We look forward to welcoming you
