About
Skidby Mill is a working four-sailed tower windmill set in over an acre of land with magnificent views over the Yorkshire Wolds. The mill is unusual in still having all its original outbuildings around the courtyard. Some of these have been converted to form the Museum of East Riding Rural Life. In December 2019 the mill's sails were removed for routine assessment and overhaul and are currently being worked on by our Millwrights. The mill and museum have measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for both you and the people who work here.
