About

We are a petite guest house right next to bans of the River Ness. Corbies Rest was built in 1810 and has been a guest house for most of her life. We have five on suite letting rooms all Welcome to Corbies Rest. We are situated in the heart of Inverness the historical capital city of the Highlands. Inverness is steeped in history and on the edge of the city is the historic battlefield of Culloden where the history and fortunes of Scotland where transformed for ever. You are able to see many sights of historical importance, fanciful stories and magical tales within the city itself. Or you can venture further out and access stunning countryside, pristine but wild beaches and as many “Disney” style castles and country houses as you could imagine. Corbies rest was built in 1810 and has been a guest house for most its life so she has seen a great many changes. We are five bedroom, family-run guest house overlooking the river Ness. Our lovingly redecorated rooms could be considered compact but are certainly perfectly formed for all your holiday or stay needs, recently refurbished in a modern but sympathetic style, with each Room providing an en suite shower, free Wi-Fi, tea & coffee-making facilities, as well as offering bright and open river or garden views. We can offer you a cosy, stylish alternative to the big hotels. If you are looking for anonymity you won’t find it at Corbies Rest. This is our home as well as our business. You will find a very warm welcome and extensive local knowledge and advice on trips, walk and places to eat. The guest house itself has limited free parking, however with Bellfield park only a minute's walk away parking is no problem whatsoever, and naturally we will cover the cost of any overspill should it be required. We might be situated in the centre of town but it can be very easy to forget that; step outside and within minutes you can be strolling South along the Ness Islands feeling like you are in a country estate; cross the 19th Century suspension bridge immediately in front of the guest house for picturesque estuary views and on for a short walk to the Eden court theatre or a round trip with a ten minute stroll along the riverside to the town centre. Whether it be St Andrew’s Cathedral, a little retail therapy at the Eastgate Shopping Centre or meals out to sample our famous Scottish hospitality...all are within fifteen minutes’ easy walk. To help kick-start your busy day freshly cooked breakfasts are served each morning using local sourced produce and we cater to any dietary requirements. Our aim is to give our guests a proper highland welcome and hope they fall in love with Inverness as much as we have. Please also be aware that discounted rates can be offered for exclusive use of the house. Please call direct on 01463 2355
