We are a small cafe with a big heart, operating out of the porch of the old St Aidan's Church on Main Street, Morebattle. Our aim is to restore the whole building to become a pilgrimage centre, with a chapel, a cafe and a craft centre. All of this is already happening from the porch. Come and visit us for a selection of soup and a roll, cake and coffee or tea, and a ready conversation. We are a Community Interest Company, which means that we are operating through the community, and for the good of the community. Our profits will return to the community. Come and visit our unique coffee stop, and by so doing contribute to the work being done to restore a beautiful 150 year old church building, built by the faithful people of Morebattle and designed by the acclaimed Thomas Pilkington in 1865. It is one of his most beautiful and yet understated designs. A real reflection of God's creation lovingly depicted in the detailed stone work. A place of true peace and tranquillity.
