Free parking onsite is available to all guests throughout their stay. Brathay gives you everything you need for a well-deserved break that will get you away from it all and boost your wellbeing. Situated at the head of Windermere lake, with a private boat house that guests can launch their own canoes, kayaks or paddleboards. Close to plenty of popular Lake District walks. 5 miles to Great Langdale. The Brathay Hall estate is the Ambleside base of Brathay Trust. Our charity’s mission is to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities. When the site is not in full use for our development programmes, we are able to offer bed and breakfast accommodation, Profits from offering B&B go towards our continuing work with children and young people. We rely on grants and donations to our charity work, together with income from our own social enterprises – including staycations. Therefore by booking to stay with us you are supporting our charity work.
