Coniston Water is a ribbon‑shaped lake in the western part of the Lake District, England, standing 54.7 m above sea level and spanning 4.7 km². The lake is famed for its crystal‑clear waters, dramatic surrounding fells such as the Old Man of Coniston, and rich history of water‑speed records set by the Campbells.
