You'll be staying in a piece of history! It is nearly 250 years old yet with all mod cons! * ⭐Woodside's location is fabulous being in the heart of the National Park by lake Windermere, with Lakeside a few minutes walk away and Newby Bridge just a few minutes away by car! (where you can get the steam train and the lake cruisers, without the parking issues in Bowness) * And with the hidden gem of High Dam Tarn a short walk away, which was much favoured by Alfred Wainwright, you're in for a treat!! * Such a central lakes location will enable you to see so much of the lake District, and with so many places to vist on the door step, you can have days off from using your car. ⭐Woodside has FREE entrance and leisure passes to Cascades at Backbarrow, 2 miles away. Cascades spa: opening times: mon-fri 07.00-21.30 sat & sun 08.00-19.30 includes: hot tub/jacuzzi , heated indoor pool, sauna ,steam room ,gym , table tennis room, Tennis court and Squash Court. (note children under 16 years are permitted to use the pool tennis court and table tennis only) Therapies are available to book directly with Cascades, including massage, fascials, beauty treatments etc. Also for additional cost is use of the thermal spa, providing exclusive health and beauty experience. * ⭐Woodside has everything a luxury cottage should have :- fabulous location, beautiful decorations, period features, superbly well equipped, delightful private gardens, free Wi Fi internet, log burner, secure private parking, books, dvd's, CD's, large Smart TV with access to Netfix etc (you need your own log in) . , 2 bathrooms an extra toilet downstairs , and dogs welcome, with a beautiful dog friendly pub nearby ...you'll want for nothing. *We provide a welcome pack of basic food stuffs for you, so don't worry if you are going to get here a little late, as well as a few luxuries. *We are exceptionally CHILD FRIENDLY with high chair, travel cot, stair gate, fire guard, baby bowls and cutlery, books and toys all provided free of charge , so leaving more room in your car. ⭐Woodside is walking distance to Lakeside, but being involved in the National Park, there are no pavements and care must be taken on the walk to Lakeside and the Lakeside Pub. By car 2 mins to Newby Bridge, 10 mins to Cartmel, 15 mins to Hawkshead, 15 mins to Bowness on Windermere and 25 mins to Ambleside. So much to see and so easy to get to! Woodside is an escape from 21st century life , in a beautiful rural location. You will be staying in a cottage full of period features that have been lovingly restored.
