Cruck Barn is a superior detached barn conversion,full of character with massive oak Cruck beams and accommodates up to six people. Cruck Barn sits in the small Lakeland hamlet of Berrier which offers amazing views,both to the Pennines in the east,to the magnificent Lake District mountains to the south and west.Our nearest mountain is 'Blencathra' at little more than a mile away and the nearest lake is Ullswater,the second biggest in the Lake District.Berrier is an ideal location to explore the whole of the Lake District as well as the Eden Valley,Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders. The accommodation comprises of a large open-plan lounge with free standing stone fireplace and wood-burning stove. The kitchen area is cosy,low beamed and well equipped with fridge,microwave,washing machine,freezer,electric cooker with hob.The floor is limestone flagged and has a large farmhouse table with doubles as the dining area. Bedrooms.There are two galleried bedrooms,each with two single beds.There is a double bedroom on the ground floor.The bathroom is also on the ground floor. Outside there is both a grassed and patio area with furniture and barbeque for those warm summer days and evenings.There is also a very large lawn area together with access to a smaller and more private garden if required.There is ample parking for several cars,plus securer storage for mountain bikes etc. There is also access to 20 acres of fields via a driveway gate,ideal for a stroll or dog-walking. For those who would like to see some of this magnificent scenery from the air,Gyroplane flights are available by arrangement with the owner. Our airstrip can double as a golf practise area and there is a beautiful round teak summer house above the strip from which to sip a glass of wine to take in the stunning views and possibly watch the sun set over the mountains to the west. The nearest towns are Keswick and Penrith,each just ten minutes drive away and the nearest pub,The Sportsmans',is within walking distance.
