Nestled on the west side of Kirkwall overlooking the town and harbour, Grainbank Mews is a 200-year-old grade 'B'-listed building which we have lovingly renovated and restored. We welcome guests to enjoy our warm hospitality in our brand-new guest rooms with modern en-suite facilities. We have 2 ground floor rooms and 2 rooms on the first floor with a breakfast room overlooking our woodland garden and the town. Your hosts, Albert and Aileen, are both from the Orkney Islands and have a vast knowledge of the area, and can help make the most of your time during your visit. Centrally situated, Grainbank Mews is located an easy 15-20 minute walk into the town centre or a few minutes in a car. There is an excellent selection of local shops and restaurants to choose from with ferry connections to some of the north isles also. There are good bus connections from the bus stop next to our guest house - this also stops at the Kirkwall bus station for onward connections.
