The Dolaucothi Arms Hotel
About
The Dolaucothi Arms is a local pub offering good food, local beer and B&B in the village of Pumsaint in Carmarthenshire. The pub is owned by the National Trust, part of the Dolaucothi estate and about 15 mins walk from the Dolaucothi Gold Mines. Hearty lunches and dinners are served up in the dining room, walkers and cyclists (mud and all) are always welcome in our flagstoned bar – our two woodburners keep the pub cosy in winter. Our half acre pub garden looks over the Cothi river (the pub has 4 miles of fishing rights for salmon and sea trout see our fishing page). From the doorstep are walks and bridle paths across 2,500 acres of wooded hills and sweeping valleys owned by the National Trust and the starkly beautiful Cambrian mountains. It’s a short drive to the market town of Llandovery on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, pretty Llandeilo with its boutiques and delis and the Brechfa Forest – favourite of mountain bikers.
