Ty'n Cornel has been called the most remote hostel in Wales, and is a favourite hostel with those who seek peace and quiet. The hostel is comfortable and has a wood burning stove in the living room. The self-catering kitchen is very well equipped. There is also a self-contained shepherd's hut and a small camping area. The hostel sleeps 16 in two rooms of 8. The shepherd's hut sleeps 3. Wonderful views from the outdoor seating area. Walkers and adventurous cyclists can explore the mountain terrain of the Elenydd, with several paths and tracks to choose from. The Cambrian Way long-distance path comes up the beautiful Doethie Valley to pass the hostel.
