About
Williamson Park is a beautiful parkland not far from central Lancaster. Most famously know for being home to the stunning Grade 1 listed Ashton Memorial. Often referred to at the Taj Mahal of the North. Commissioned by Lancaster industrialist Lord Ashton as a tribute to his late wife Jessy, in 1909. As well as this must visit landmark the park is also home to the beautiful Butterfly House and a Mini Zoo (you can visit both for a small entry fee) Seasonally there a numerous event, from festivals to theatre.
