Artists’ Cottage, one of 5 family owned cottages, short walk to Harrogate centre. 10 minutes to Dales. Welcoming superb kitchen and appliances. Kitchen seats 6. Frequent direct trains connect Harrogate & London Kings Cross. Trains via Leeds and York. We are a family business established in 2017 with the object of supplying the best holiday accommodation in traditional cottages. Artists; Cottage is a tastefully furnished oasis combining a harmonious blend of antique, retro and modern convenience, a tranquil space for relaxation after a hectic day either working or touring. The perfect place to unwind. No expense has been spared to make this a truly great place to stay. The sofa is to sink into. The log fire is a beautiful addition along with the contrasting antique and modern furniture, giving the family ambience so often lacking in a rental cottage. There is free unrestricted secure WiFi throughout. The beds can be split in each bedroom to give singles. You will need to request single beds when booking. Guests remark on the comfort of our beds and ask where they may purchase similar! We can provide travel cots and high chairs (available on request - no charge) Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot. The stairs are steep in keeping with a nineteenth century cottage-and we do not recommend this property for toddlers and children under 6 or for anyone who is not able bodied. Stair gates cannot be fixed to the stairs. There is Free on street parking with no restrictions. Pets: The property can accept a maximum of 2 small Pets only by prior arrangement and on payment of fee(£65.00 per stay) Pets to be caged overnight (unless agreed otherwise with property owners)and never left unattended at the property. No pets upstairs or on the furniture. Please bring pet bed and utensils. There is a laundry area with washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. The kitchen is fully equipped with De Longhi small appliances, microwave, Miele electric pyrolitic fan oven, Neff induction hob, dishwasher and Krups Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother. Dishwasher. We leave Yorkshire tea bags, fresh coffee, some coffee capsules, biscuits and fresh milk for your arrival. We personally meet and greet our guests whenever possible. The property faces onto the local railway line running between York and Leeds serving the local villages, Harrogate and Knaresborough. You can expect some noise when local trains pass. Guests have sole use of the entire property including front garden and rear enclosed terrace. Front garden has a garden bench and at the rear an enclosed terrace with garden bench in the winter. In the summer months we add dining table, chairs, BBQ and chiminea together with floral displays. We live locally and come from the area. We are always willing to make suggestions and to answer any questions guests may have during their visit. Whenever possible we meet guests at the property with the key. We are available 24/7 in case of emergency or in case guests have any concerns or questions regarding their stay. Up to 2 small Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and with extra fees (£65 per stay) We ask that dogs be caged overnight. Gusts to provide their own cage. Pets must not be left unattended at the property. The neighbourhood is residential, 19th century Yorkshire stone cottages just a very short walk from the town centre and the station. There are lots of local individual shops for food or a cup of coffee The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. There is on street parking with no restrictions. The property is located within a short walk of the famous Turkish Baths, Harrogate Convention Centre, Royal Hall, Harrogate Theatre, Valley Gardens and the central shopping area, guests have also walked to the Yorkshire Showground/Event Centre and remarked on the ease of access. 3 other Artists’ Cottages in immediate vicinity. Easiest way is to walk. The property is a short walk to Harrogate town centre. There are taxis and buses. The location is great for anyone wishing to explore the local National Parks by car. There are buses from Ripon Road 36 to Ripon and Ripley - they go every 10 minutes. On Skipton Road (A59)there are buses to Skipton and Harrogate town centre - but it is quicker to walk! The Harrogate Convention Centre is just 8 minutes, as are Turkish Baths, Royal Hall and Theatre. The main shops and restaurants are in the same vicinity. For those arriving by train with bags we recommend taxis from ranks outside or across road from Harrogate Station main entrance. Cost £6 approximately - 5 minutes.
