Bradford Industrial Museum
About
The Bradford Industrial Museum, situated within the historic Moorside Mills on Moorside Road, Bradford, opened its doors to the public in 1974. The museum offers an in‑depth look at the region’s industrial past, with fully operational exhibits covering motive power, transport, printing, and textile machinery. Visitors can experience traditional water wheels, steam and oil engines in the Motive Power Gallery, explore the Horse Emporium which showcases equine power, and walk through vibrant textile galleries that demonstrate the complex processes of spinning, weaving and finishing. Live demonstrations are frequently staged, and the museum’s extensive stables and outdoor displays provide a tangible sense of 19th‑century industrial life. Admission is free, making it an accessible destination for all ages.
