Whilst machine tattoos involve the gun piercing and then tearing through the skin as the artist draws, bamboo tattoos are delicately tapped into the skin by hand using super fine needles. This means there is a significant reduction in pain and bleeding and therefore no scabbing, resulting in a very quick healing process – usually around two days. Furthermore as there is no blood to push the color out of the skin, the ink settles deeply and no color is lost; there is no need for any touch ups at a later date. Bamboo tattoos maintain their color extremely well, staying bright and strong. There is absolutely no problem going into the sun or sea straight away following a bamboo tattoo. Another major benefit with bamboo tattooing is that it is 90% LESS painful than machine tattoos.
