These intricate spaces offer inspiration to implement in your own garden. It was created by the Spencer family during the 20th century and entrusted to Perennial in 1994 so that the garden could live on and continue to be enjoyed by the public. Relax in York Gate's new cafe and sun terrace serving brunch and light lunches using handpicked produce from the vegetable garden, homemade sandwiches, cakes and a selection of speciality teas and coffees, whilst overlooking the newly built Mediterranean sunken garden. The new facilities also include a larger plant nursery and gift shop, selling plants propagated from the garden and a beautiful range of gifts for the home and garden. York Gate also boasts a traditional wildflower meadow to enjoy the wilder areas of York Gate.
