The Shropshire Union Canal and the River Dee both flow through the centre of the historic walled city of Chester. The medieval streets, magnificent cathedral and dramatic Roman amphitheatre are all memorable sights. The surrounding coutryside is also very attractive and ideal for exploring by bike.
