Summerlea House is our home in the Moffat conservation area, a few minutes walk from the High Street. We offer just two rooms, a double and twin, in calm, quiet surroundings, particularly suited to walkers and visitors touring the area. Breakfast is served in the dining room and there is a cosy guest sitting room with a large selection of travel and walking books, games to play, TV and films. Weather permitting, there is a sheltered courtyard which is perfect for sitting in on sunny days. We have been open for over two years now and have been very pleased to meet visitors from all over the world. We aim to offer a 'home from home' experience, operating on a small scale and keeping our welcome friendly, courteous and personal without being intrusive. We both work part-time, one of us in travel and heritage publishing and the other in environmental conservation. We know the local area inside out having written several guides and walking books to it and love sharing it with our guests.
