The Canvas & Cream philosophy is to be inclusive and encourage creativity and expression, through art, food and living well. Canvas & Cream opened in 2012 and from the outset it has been a community venture. With no electricity, walls or plumbing, it was in need of a little TLC. Local people were enlisted to help find the items needed for the restaurant and the Forest Hill community responded with fridges, cookers, doors… you name it, it was donated. The whole of Canvas & Cream was built in this fashion. Canvas & Cream is a modern trendy restaurant & café in the heart of Forest Hill offering breakfast, brunch and lunch. Diners can expect a menu filled with contemporary seasonal British and European dishes in a relaxed environment and we welcome everyone (even dogs).
