ExCeL London, formally known as the Exhibition Centre London, is a world‑class convention, exhibition, and events hub situated on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock in east London. The 100‑acre campus spans 100,000 m², boasting a range of flexible halls, conference rooms, and a state‑of‑the‑art indoor track used during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Designed by Moxley Architects and opened in November 2000, the venue has grown through several expansions – the 2010 International Conference Centre and the 2020‑23 Phase 3 development – and now accommodates more than 40,000 visitors per event. The complex sits adjacent to the DLR and Elizabeth Line stations, providing seamless access from central London and beyond. It is surrounded by a cluster of hotels, restaurants, and transport services, making it a prime location for trade fairs, consumer shows, business conferences, sporting events, and cultural festivals. The venue was a key site during the 2012 Olympics (boxing, table tennis, weight‑lifting, etc.) and hosts major annual events such as the MCM London Comic Con, the Formula E London ePrix, and the G‑20 summit in 2009.
