Holland Park
About
Holland Park is the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s largest and most verdant public green space, spanning 54 acres of landscaped gardens, woodlands, and sports fields. Nestled between Notting Hill and South Kensington, the park offers a mix of formal Victorian design and tranquil Japanese tranquility, highlighted by the stunning Kyoto Garden, a gift from the City of Kyoto in 1991. Visitors can stroll along the river, feed the resident peacocks, or enjoy the park’s café and playgrounds. In the summer months the historic Holland House hosts an open‑air theatre performing Opera Holland Park’s seasonal productions, while the surrounding grove serves as a perfect spot for families, nature lovers, and history enthusiasts to relax in peace. From early July to late September, the park’s tulip beds burst into colour, making spring the ideal time for a leisurely walk. The park remains open daily from 7:30 am until dusk, free of charge, and offers accessible entrances and parking for visitors with disabilities.
