The Pizzolo is a traditional plate of Sicilian cuisine. It is a thin and crisp white double pizza dressed on the top with extra-virgin olive oil, oregano, parmesan and filled with different ingredients (meat, vegetables, chicken, salami). Other specialities are the sweet Pizzolo where the top is dressed with icing sugar and it is filled in with Nutella or pistachio cream.
