The Prince of Wales is a traditional independent pub set on leafy Cleaver Square, Kennington and offers that rare chance to enjoy open space in the city.The venue has just undergone a beautiful interior renovation completed with some wonderful eclectic artwork. There is also a new chef at the helm serving fresh, homemade food 7 days a week including a superb Sunday Roast making this one of the best pubs in Kennington for a bite to eat. With a small seating area outside, you can relax with a first-class pint or a glass of wine and watch lively petanque matches unfold in the beautiful Georgian square - and you can even have a go yourself by hiring equipment from behind the bar. The Prince of Wales is a convenient place to come together with friends from all over the city. And while this was once a favoured watering hole of the Richardson gang, arch rivals to the Krays, the clientele these days are somewhat friendlier - you can rest assured a warm welcome awaits.
