About

Established in 2019, Ancient House is an independent family-run eatery in the heart of Halesworth, Suffolk. Our food is cooked and prepared on site using quality locally sourced ingredients where possible. Ancient House is ran primarily by brothers, Daniel and Adam, both whom have worked within the hospitality sector locally for a number of years. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, samples of these menus can be found in the menu section. Our food is simple, effective and delicious. We have evolved so much since we opened and have a much more relaxed approach to eating out. We are dog friendly throughout, all times of the day. In the evening we evolve into a fusion restaurant, serving street food including burgers, rice and noodle bowls along with our tapas style plates. This is something we found a love and passion for during lockdown, and decided there isn’t anything like this offered locally. We believe a business needs to adapt and we are doing so with positivity.
