About
The largest mid 19th century brick round headed arch is situated at the southern end of Wellington Road. The Wellington Arch is to the north of the Kimberley Terrace and was built in 1846 by John Brown. It is a brick round headed arch with capitals and flat pilasters on each side supporting the arch with a cornice and parapet above. This was the north entrance to the planned Victoria estate.
