Dodges Oast is set in the Garden of England where birds twitter in the mornings. It was built on the top of a hill and has panoramic views of the surrounding countryside to the North, East and West.In a peaceful rural location but only 2 miles to the mainline railway station Marden, less than an hour to London, Charing Cross. An ideal place to relax, unwind and visit the numerous castles - Leeds, Hever, Scotney etc., gardens - Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Pashley etc. and famous houses - Chartwell, Batemans, Penshurst Place etc.1 hour by car from coastal towns such as Rye, Camber Sands, Hastings, Battle, Brighton, Eastbourne, Canterbury Cathedral and many others.Dodges Oast was built as a traditional Oast House to dry hops being in an area of which there were once and abundance of Hop farms. There are still some to be seen growing locally. Our home has historically only dried one season's hops. Our bed and breakfast rooms are newly refurbished and comprise one double and one twin bedroom both with en-suite shower rooms. The bedrooms have dual aspect windows allowing guests to gaze out at the far reaching views of the countryside. RATES £80 if staying for 1 night only otherwise £70 per night. These prices include breakfast.
